 <title>EPIA PX10000G Unichrome Pro II MPEG support</title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/epia_px10000g_unichrome_pro_ii_mpeg_support</link>
<description>Hoping to start a good thread on this board.. although I haven&#039;t seen many people posting with this one.

I&#039;ve had pretty good luck with this board with the exception of playing MPEG2/4 files. I&#039;ve built the latest driver using AGP and DRI, but have yet to get it working correctly. The latest openchrome drivers do not have any support as well.

 <title>need a different version of myth</title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/need_a_different_version_of_myth</link>
<description>I don&#039;t suppose it would be possible to get a version of myth using protocol 31 instead of 33.

I purchased the full version of imedia but neither version of Myth was compatible with my backend, Knoppmyth F27.

<title>new install on slightly oddball hardware</title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/new_install_on_slightly_oddball_hardware</link>
<description>1stly, congrats on a really nice looking embedded distro, have previewed the vmware image &amp; I am toying with the mythtv version on a via chipset board (VIA Nehemiah 1GHz). the only problem is that it has an oddball embedded video adapter (TVIA CyberPro 5005) that isn&#039;t supported by default in the imedia distribution and therefore Xwindows just crashes out. I have a linux driver module and &#039;startx -configure&#039; finds most of the adapter info but obvoiusly I need to sink some time into getting the xorg.conf file sorted out. My question is really whether I should continue to bang my head against the wall trying to get it to work? I&#039;m happy to shell out for the paid version as it&#039;s great value for money, but obvoiusly if it&#039;s never going to work then I&#039;ll cut my losses &amp; look elsewhere for an albeit fatter but more compatible distro to go onto this particular machine.

<title>Problem with USB Keyboard on VIA EPIA EX10000EG </title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/problem_with_usb_keyboard_on_via_epia_ex10000eg</link>
 <description>Hi

I&#039;ve got a VIA EPIA EX10000EG mainboard (in a Mini-box M300 with Haupage 350) which does not have PS/2 connectors. So I have to use a USB keyboard.
Now installing worked, but after reboot, the USB keyboard does not work. Does anyone know a workaround?

<title>Source, dev package or needed packages</title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/source_dev_package_or_needed_packages</link>
 <description>Hi,

I have installed Imedia MythTV and it&#039;s very a great optimised distribution but I need to compile MythTV with North America Patch and sasc-ng module for DVB purpose. Imedia do not detect my DVB card.

 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/epia_ex10000eg_fails_to_boot_try_passing_init_option_to_kernel</link>
<description>I want to evaluate iMedia Linux MythTV.

Installing it on a USB stick or on a HDD results in the same boot error:

&quot;try passing init= option to kernel&quot;

This is my setup:

Silverstone SST-LC09S (Silver)

<title>No luck with iMedia MythTV 5.0.2 on EPIA N NanoITX</title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/no_luck_with_imedia_mythtv_5_0_2_on_epia_n_nanoitx</link>
<description>I tried installing on a hard drive from a DVD rom in a nano-ITX system (EPIA N), but the system would boot to one dot followed by some space and then three dots and hang.

So, I tried a 4.0 GB CF card. That was worse: the DVD ROM couldn&#039;t be chained as a slave off the RoHS CF dongle on the IDE port, and I lacked a 44 pin mini IDE cable, so I tried installing to the CF card off an IDE port in another box. The CF card was an RData 4.0 GB model.

 <title>Installation</title>
 <link>http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/installation</link>
<description>I&#039;ve tried installing the imedia mythtv distribution 5.02 a couple of times. Every times, my computer reboots, X starts and then dumps back to console. It says it can&#039;t find myth-start. When I go to the opt/mythtv/bin directory, the only file in the directory is firstrun. When I try to run it, it says permission denied even as a root user. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help. I have a Epia M with 512 megs of ram.
