The Kiosk Appliance allows users to build browser-based information display kiosk which are useful and often seen in Internet cafes, libraries, galleries and museums, educational institutions, municipal offices, visitor information booths, conferences, shopping malls, airports, in short any location where simple, easy access to information is desirable.

The idea is to let you browse the Internet or local resources while basking in the comfort of a familiar café. Internet kiosks are supposed to be quick and easy-to-use stations for checking e-mail or looking up a bit of information on the Web.

The combination of these technologies is used primarily to define a web server infrastructure, define a programming paradigm of developing software, and establish a software distribution package.
