I have installed iMedia MythTV 4.0.1 on a VIA EPIA EN12000EG system with the VIA Velocity VT6122 network adapter.
There were no kernel modules for this network adapter included, so I tried to compile them, but with no luck. Is there a imp package available somewhere? If not, will the drivers for this adapter be included in a future release?
I just installed the new 5.0 release of iMedia MythTV, it looks great! But the crc-ccitt.ko module which is required by via-velocity.ko does not seem to be included, so it fails when trying to load the via-velocity module.
Yes this wasn't added by mistake. The full version has all a package will all the drivers. We'll add the module to mythtv build too and post an updated 5.0.1 - mythtv.
Any indication about the timing of 5.0.1 availability? I have the same board as knog and I am just waiting for the green light here before I do my installation. 5.0.0 seemed to be "available" for some time before it was truly available, and I haven't been lurking here long enough to know if that is normal.
Thanks,
dannotdan
EDIT: Just to clarify, I am very intrigued by this distribution. My concerns about the timing are so that I can come in with realistic expectations. Please don't take this in any way the same as some of the name-calling I have seen in at least one other thread, because it is definitely not meant that way. Thanks again.
We hope to release 5.0.1 next week mainly to fix some missing drivers and mythtv problems.
About 5.0.0 release I belive the website was updated but not the download links.
