This might be a bug which we discovered in 4.0 release with DHCP ip assignment. Try to setup the
adapter statically with ifconfig eth0 .

The 5.0 release will fix this.

Not to hijack this thread, I think it is the same problem I am having. When I try "ifconfig eth0 192.168.xx.xx up", I get an unknown interface error message.
Any ideas?

edit: - error message

Sorry I had to type this, so if you need more of the dmesg output, I could get it later. Having issues hooking up a usb drive to this.
