Hi, I installed both 5.0.3 and 5.0.4 on a D201GLY board (IDE HD / 256Mb / USB CDROM). I used the default settings on all screens. Trying to boot all I get is: Loading iMedia ... I tried to use to get the grub menu but that does not work either. Any ideas on how to get this to work? Best regards, Paul Holthuizen

Have a look at my posting "Booting 5.0.1 from on Geode LX results in ". ..." http://www.imedialinux.com/forum/booting_5_0_1_from_cf_results_in Probably a similar problem. The default "grub.conf" set up a serial console. I think this is probably what is failing Michael

Hi Michael, I did that, but I cannot get 'into' grub.conf. If I right after the installation select 'shell' I end up with no /boot directory, and after booting I am not able to break into grub. I also tried to manually change parameters in Grub (add the ide=nodma option) during install but that did not help either.... Thanks for your reaction, Paul

Michael, You're brilliant! As soon as I found grub.conf (in /mnt/sysimage/boot/grub, should I have known that??) and removed the line starting with serial it booted. Thank you! Paul

After installation I get the dreaded ". ..." message as well. Installed to a 40GB IDE HDD on the D201GLY. Now, I see you have solved that problem, but I get ". ..." immediately after boot, so I don't know how I can get to a console or into the Grub menu (pressing ESC doesn't work). Ho can I solve this? EDIT: Hahah, well it seems I answered my own question in record time. Booted into DamnSmallLinux liveCD, mounted my HDD, "sudo nano"ed my grub.conf and edited out the line starting with serial. Boots like a charm!
