I tried to install the MythTV download on my via EPIA-CN10000 board but I get an error that indicates that /usr/bin/perl cannot be found when it tries to run the install script. I looked in the other directories that are created at install time and perl is not in any of them. This seems like a very basic problem so I'm guessing that I'm doing something strange but can't guess what. Anyone have any suggestions?

One more piece of information which may be important is that I'm using a USB attached CDROM, I'm guessing that although the initial boot screen shows up fine, I'm losing access to the CDROM at some point in the process. I'm going to try an IDE CDROM.

yes I think USB-CDROM is not yet supported. Tried too and get the same result, IDE CDROM boot normal
Question left: how to use with USB-CDROM?
