Hi,

I am trying out the (rather promising) imedia MythTV distro (4.01). Installs fine on my via board (M10k - so CLE266 hardware mpeg2).

However, when I play mpg file (any), they play back but there is a large 2 inch blue band covering the bottom half of the screen (not present in the menus) which obscures the bottom of the video.

This is a test setup with nothing but the via board + ide drive + lcd monitor.

Could this be something to do with the monitor, as in I am using VGA out? (I plan to use VGA out).

Thanks

Hi, I thought it was a M10000 (older) but its actually a PD10000 board. This is identical to the M10000, but has an extra network port. It has the same chipset: • VIA CLE266 North Bridge • VIA VT8235 South Bridge as the M10000.

I had this problem with 5.0 too, but seem to have just solved it. I switched to using Openbox, although I guess that didn't have anything to do with it. I also switched resolution to 1024x768, which may have fixed it. Previously, the size of the blue band varied, and I guess it might have been to do with how much deeper than 600 pixels the source movie was.
