Can you specify what the differences are between the iMedia Alix version and the iMedia embedded version.

Also it seems that it is not (yet) possible to buy the Alix version at the mini-box site.

I am looking for a compact linux version for my new soekris 5501 board (600 Mhz Geode LX with CS5536)

iMedia Alix will be a free distribution like iMedia WRAP or iMedia MythTV. All this distributions can be installed/customised with the commercial version of iMedia Linux. At this moment we are doing final touches to Alix distribution mostly in XWindows video playback performance through XVideo extension.
