Connecting to Serial port shows garbage

Hi, I have my term app configured for standard 8n1 9600. When I boot iMedia Linux on the wrap board, all I get is garbage in the terminal.

I put a different OS on the CF card and I was able to see the boot sequence and login using the same terminal app.

I'm trying to use the 4.0.1 128MB CF image. Is there some thing special that needs to be configured to access iMedia Linux via a serial cable?

Thanks!

Hi,
According to PCEngines.ch, the manufacturer of Wrap Boards, serial connection should be setup as follows:

Connect the serial console using a DB9 null modem cable. Default serial port parameters are
38400 8N1. Do NOT use a 1:1 connected serial cable, as the serial port may get damaged.

You can find out more on their manual: http://www.pcengines.ch/wrap1c.pdf
